Insidervault has no accounts, and places no cookies unless you allow them. This page says exactly what is stored, where, and by whom — in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
No accounts. Your watchlist and your light/dark choice are kept in your own browser and never reach us. Nothing is measured unless you turn it on yourself, and leaving it off changes nothing about how the site works.
Two values in local storage, not cookies: iv-watchlist (the tickers you follow — which is why the list does not move to another device) and iv-thema (light, dark or automatic). Both exist only because you used the feature, so they need no consent. Clearing your browser data removes them. A service worker also caches pages you have visited, never data — a stale insider trade is worse than no number.
The site and its database run on a single server at Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland. Nobody else holds a copy. The web server keeps a log of the requests it answers — page, browser, time — but not IP addresses: those are stripped before the line is written, because the site has no use for them. The database holds only SEC filings; nothing about visitors.
Google Analytics shows us which pages people actually use, so we know what to improve. That one does use cookies — _ga and _ga_066RKTGMLQ — which is why there is a banner.
It is off until you turn it on, and off means off: Google’s tag is not loaded at all, so no request — and therefore no IP address — reaches Google. This used to work differently. The tag loaded for everyone with storage denied, which stopped the cookies but not the measurement itself: Google still received a pageview. That has been changed; the script is now only added to the page once you say yes.
Your answer lives in your own browser under iv-toestemming, so you are asked once. You can change it whenever you like — the Measurement switch at the bottom of every page shows the current setting and flips it. Turning it off reloads the page, because that is the only way to remove a tag that has already loaded. Either way no feature disappears and no page behaves differently.
No ad networks on this site, no cross-site profiling, no fingerprinting, no external fonts, no social embeds. The only outbound links are to sec.gov, and only when you click an amount to open the original filing.
Everything here comes from Form 4 filings published by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission — public records in the public domain. The names are those of directors, officers and large shareholders as they appear in filings they were legally required to make. We publish nothing the SEC has not already published.
An error in a filing has to be corrected at the source: the SEC accepts an amended Form 4 (a 4/A), and this site picks that up on its next run. We do not edit the record.
We hold no personal data about visitors, so there is normally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you think otherwise, write to privacy@insidervault.app. You can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your own country.
If advertising is ever added it brings its own cookies and needs its own consent step. This page changes before that happens, and the date at the top changes with it.
Nothing on this site is investment advice. Insiders trade for all kinds of reasons — tax planning, diversification, a plan scheduled months earlier — and a sale is not automatically a signal.
